IX International Stasys Vainiunas Competition for Pianists and Chamber Ensembles will take place on 26 March – 02 April 2022 in Vilnius and Kaunas, Lithuania.
The competition is being held since 2006 and is in a name of Lithuanian artist Stasys Vainiūnas (1909-1982), who is famous for his work both as a pianist and composer.
The event takes place in two categories every four years.
IX International Stasys Vainiunas Competition for Pianists and Chamber Ensembles is open to:
Pianists of all nationalities under the age of 30;
Chamber ensembles:
Duo: Violin and Piano | Cello and Piano
Trio: Violin, Cello, Piano | Oboe, Clarinet, Piano | Flute, Clarinet, Piano
String Quartet | Piano Quintet
Chamber ensembles all members’ average age must be less than 35 years.
Total prize fund – 20 000 EUR.
Application deadline: January 31st, 2022.
